Before You Visit

Here are a few tips on the best ways to prepare for your visit.

Consultations with Dr. Kay are always free! All we require is a $100 reservation fee that will be applied towards your procedure on the day of your visit. (Advanced procedures require a $150 reservation fee).

Beauty consultations include before and after photos, a full beauty evaluation, and recommendations for future visits. Please expect to spend a few hours with us!

Free wi-fi is available in our lobby as well as complimentary coffee upon request.

No alcohol

Do not consume alcoholic beverages at least a day before treatment, as alcohol may increase bruising risk.


Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood-thinning medications, if possible, 2 weeks before treatment, as blood-thinning effects can increase bruising and swelling risk. (Aspirin, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDs).

No Makeup

Do not come in with makeup applied, or be prepared to remove it.


Try to schedule appointment two weeks before special events, as swelling can take up to two weeks to resolve.


Eat well and stay hydrated before your appointment.

To ease your travel anxiety, refer to the following for everything you need to know before jetting to Los Angeles! For those flying, I am conveniently located near two major LA County airports: LAX and Burbank. Intake Process for the Traveling Patient

Step 1. Schedule Your Appointment
Please contact the office by telephone at (626) 316-7033 or submitting a pricing inquiry by clicking here. As part of our cancellation policy, we require a reservation fee to hold all appointments. Payment may be accepted via telephone with any major credit card. All reservation fees are considered a credit towards procedures, facials, or products. Deposits are non-refundable unless appointment is cancelled within 48 hours. Refunds subject to 10% processing fee. No exceptions.

Step 2. Initial Consultation
Meeting face-to-face is a very important component of every appointment in our practice. It is imperative that Dr. Kay has the time to assess your needs to ultimately ensure your experience is customized to fit all of your beauty goals. Depending on your desired treatment(s), begin treatment during your initial consultation. Regardless, we ask that all patients allows at least 1.5 hours with us so that we may provide you with a valuable experience. While we take busy schedules into consideration, tending to your goals and needs is of the utmost importance to us. Step 3. The Procedure
The fun part!
Dr. Kay’s team is highly efficient when it comes to your needs and beauty goals. Nerves are normal, but you are in perfectly capable hands. Just sit back and relax. Most procedures will involve our extra strength numbing cream unless patients decide it is not for them.

Step 4. Aftercare
You may expect some swelling, bruising and redness directly after any injectable procedure. Few patients experience irritation at the site. Applying ice and massaging the area is the best way to avoid any complications. If any concerns do arise, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible via e-mail or telephone. E-mailed photographs are always helpful when it comes to diagnosing issues from afar. Our patients care coordinators make an effort to reply to every inquiry in a timely manner. Once the swelling has diminished, we know you’ll love you gorgeous results!

Post-Treatment Instructions

Please follow these instructions to see the best results from your treatments.


  1. Please remain in an upright position for 3 – 4 hours after your procedure, without lying down. This allows the injections to settle in the proper location. You should sleep slightly elevated on 1 or 2 pillows in the evening.
  2. Please avoid excessive facial expressions for the remainder of the day.
  3. Please avoid facials and facial massages for one week, as this can disperse your injections.
  4. You may use ice at injection sites the day of your treatment for comfort and bruising, just be sure to press lightly.
  5. Remember to wear sunglasses in the sun, as your injections will prevent you from squinting, frowning, and furrowing.
  6. Your injections will begin to take effect after 48 hours and will be fully effective in 7 days. This will erase your frown lines and relax your face. Each person is different, but this treatment should last around 4 months.

Eye Filler

  1. Ice area for the first day for 30 min. Ice is helpful every 2 hours for 30 min at a time. 2 – 3 times a day is plenty.
  2. Light aerobic exercises only for the first two days post-treatment.
  3. Avoid saunas — minimal sweating recommended.
  4. Gently massage any visual lumps or nodules daily for a week.
  5. Avoid salty foods and alcohol during first two weeks post-treatment.

Patient Financing

Cosmetic Visits

For patient financing, we accept payments with cash, credit card, or CareCredit.

Clients will make payments upfront; we do not offer financing or payment plans. We accept Brilliant Distinctions and Aspire Rewards as discounts towards qualifying cosmetic treatments. Upon making your appointment, you will be required to pay a $100 reservation fee over the phone ($150 for Sculptra Butt or Injectable Rhinoplasty procedures). This fee will go towards your procedure on the day of your treatment. If you choose to cancel your appointment, we can refund the reservation fee if you provide us with at least 24 hours advance notice. We will need to charge a processing fee.

CareCredit helps you pay for out-of-pocket healthcare expenses for you, your family, and even your pets! Once you are approved, you can use it, again and again, to help manage health, wellness, and personal care costs not covered by insurance.


Pricing depends on the amount of toxin or filler a patient needs. While everyone’s beauty goals
will differ, generally a typical area of a toxin (20 units) will range between $250 – $300. An
“area” translates to the forehead, crows feet, or lower face. Fillers can range between $700 and
$900 per syringe depending on the product that is used.

The Sculptra BBL is a great non-surgical alternative to for those that might not necessarily be a a candidate for a traditional BBL. In comparison to a surgical Brazilian Butt Lift, this procedure involves the injection of Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) in the buttocks to, increase volume or soften textural irregularities. Because a surgical BBL involves fat-transfer, thinner patients aren’t always good candidates. This procedure is ideal for anyone that would prefer to avoid going under the knife. Patients can typically travel immediately after this procedure and are able to avoid any downtime! Results take full affect within 4-8 weeks of your procedure. Dr. Kay’s expertise and knowledge of the facial anatomy have made this one of the most requested procedures in our practice. This procedure is priced at about $1,900 and requires a $150 deposit at the time of booking. Our flat rate includes two appointments (Your initial visit & a complimentary touch-up) and will ensure optimal results. This procedure incorporates a hyaluronic acid based filler that is meticulously injected to soften bumps, humps, and irregularities. In comparison, a surgical rhinoplasty requires anesthesia, downtime, and ranges between $6,500 – $8,900.

Dr. Kay firmly believes it is important to start slow with under-eye filler. We can always find time for you to see Dr. Kay if you’re in need of a touch-up, all you have to do is ask! Yes, many patients will often do several areas during their visit! Due to the variation and individuality of every procedure, Dr. Kay creates a personalized beauty plan for every patient. While you aren’t required to do everything at once, many of our patients will opt to maximize their time while seeing Dr. Kay.

To minimize last minute cancellations and no show appointments, every patient is asked to leave a deposit when booking an appointment. Your deposit may be applied towards any services or products purchased. Please notify our office within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.

As an expert injector of nearly 20 years, Dr. Kay specializes in using toxins for TMJ and facial slimming. If you’re new to this procedure, we recommend scheduling a consultation to determine whether or not this procedure is right for you.

Dr. Kay uses a hyaluronic acid gel filler that is safe, tested and provides optimal longevity when injected in this area. The non-surgical rhinoplasty is a great alternative to a surgical rhinoplasty but will not correct preexisting breathing conditions or other respiratory related conditions.

Our practice currently offers all four toxins that are FDA approved in the United States. This includes Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin.

Dr. Kay uses hyaluronic acid-based fillers like Restylane or a calcium-based filler known as Radiesse for jawline enhancement. During your consultation, Dr. Kay will create a customized treatment plan and guide you depending on your overall goals and facial features.

Yes! Sculptra effectively restores lost facial volume and has become Dr. Kay’s go-to biostimulatory filler for building facial foundation. This product enables the body to produce its own healthy collagen and supplements other procedures like jawline or cheek filler. Dr. Kay specializes in using Sculptra for the non-surgical butt augmentation, facial rejuvenation, and offlabel areas like the décolleté

Kybella is only FDA approved in the United States to permanently melt submental fat; also known as the “double chin”. Off-label usage of Kybella should always be trusted in the hands of an experienced injector. With extensive knowledge of the anatomy, Dr. Kay has mastered her technique when using Kybella to treat areas like the axilla, arms, neck, bra fat roll, mons pubis, and stomach.

The amount of Sculptra needed will vary depending on a patient and their desired outcome. Dr. Kay will always take into account budget, concerns, and overall goals when creating your customized treatment plan. Setting realistic expectation is of the utmost importance and we always suggest an in-person consultation to ensure recommendations are as accurate as possible. 4-10 vials over the course of 2-4 treatments can address concerns of cellulite and textural irregularity.
